My Favorite Everyday Makeup Essentials
Beauty — the most subjective thing in the world. Ya know what else is based on opinion and personal preference?? The “best” beauty products out there!! I’m here to tell you six of mine and I hope if you try them, you love them as much as I do! I understand though that what works for me, may not work for you. To each their own! But I reallllly love and stand behind the following items!! PS all of the photos are hyperlinked right to the products for easy shopping!
Foundation - Clinique’s Superbalanced Liquid Foundation
I love this foundation because it’s creamy, thick enough for all-day coverage, and perfect for my sensitive skin. It lets my skin BREATHE which doesn’t always happen with liquid foundations. The worst is using a “cake” one and Clinique’s certainly isn’t! If you really aren’t a fan of liquid, I also love their powder version.
Setting Powder - LAURA MERCIER Translucent Loose Setting Powder
This sh*t saves face. Get it?? But really, this powder is sooo lightweight and sets your face for an entire day! The reason I love it most: it takes away oil and excess shine, byeeee grease face! This is especially my favorite in the warmer and more humid months. I own it in the travel size and full size!! Oh and don’t forget the puff that goes along with it.
Bronzer - Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Bronzer
I have been using this bronzer from the verrrry beginning. I think I bought my first Hoola in 2012 and haven’t looked back since! I’m obsessed with the color, the applicator, the compactness, the powder itself, and how it really blends on my skin! ( For reference, I HAVE tried other bronzers, but have never found one I like more than Benefit’s Hoola!)
Eyeliner - Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Flyliner Longwear Liquid Eyeliner
BUY THIS. There, I said it. I can’t rave about this eyeliner enough. I bought it just to give it a shot around Thanksgiving time and it has totally rocked my beauty world. I used to always be anti-waterproof products, but now that I’ve been using this every morning I take that back! I don’t even understand how it only has 4 out of 5 stars on Sephora??? I really, really love this product. It makes such a precise line, doesn’t fade, and doesn’t drip like other liquid liners do!
Mascara - Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara
I loooove mascara. I always say if I had to pick one make up product it’d be mascara. It brightens my face, opens my eyes, and makes my super blonde lashes pop! With that being said, I have tried over THIRTY mascaras. I truly am always on the hunt for the best one and after lots of experimenting I can safely say there is no comparison to They’re Real! The wand separates my lashes so perfectly and then LENGTHENS them to a point of “OMG are your lashes real???”
Lipstick - Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick
Creamy, long-lasting, brilliant colors, and smooth. What else do you need? I actually received a mini of this lipstick as a sample from Sephora expecting it to be blah, but I was shocked at how much I loved and still do love it! I also am a huge fan that it’s a clean beauty product! The amount of lipstick women actually consume every year unknowingly is a tremendous amount. Yuck! Might as well be “eating” lipstick that has safe ingredients.
