The Best Chicken Wings from the.... AIR FRYER?!

The Best Chicken Wings from the.... AIR FRYER?!

When we first got our air fryer we knew we’d use it, but we had no idea how much we’d LOVE it. It’s been almost 2 years with this bad boy & we’re never looking back. Some of our favorite meals utilizing it are salmon, crispy rice (with spicy tuna on top YUM), potatoes, lamb bacon, hard boiled eggs, the list goes on and on. Recently, Daniel experimented with chicken wings & lemme tell you. SHIT! They were GOOOOOD. Simple to make, too! Recipe below:

What You Need:

  • 12 wings, both flats + drumsticks (that’s at least what we had, but feel free to make more or less!)

  • Yellowbird Serrano Sauce (linked here)

  • Honey (we used this, but you can use whatever!)

  • Pitbull BBQ Memphis Dry Rub (linked here)

  • A tiny bit of avocado oil (or butter if you eat dairy)

  • Roughly chopped parsley

What To Do:

  • Combine yellowbird + honey + dry rub in a big bowl until it’s fully mixed

  • Add your wings (keep the skin on, it’ll get so crispy)

  • Baste them over + over again until they’re fully coated

  • Add your splash of avocado oil

  • Mix again

  • Set as many wings as you can in the air fryer basket without them overlapping

  • Cook the first batch at 400 for 10 minutes

  • Open the basket after 10 minutes, flip them, cook for another 10 minutes

  • Cook the remaining wings the exact same way

  • Garnish with chopped parsley

  • Serve + enjoy while hot!

*P.S. A nice cold Olipop goes GREAT with this meal.

Before someone comes at me asking for quantity of sauce + honey + rub - it’s important to note, Daniel neverrrr measures when it comes to recipes like this. He eyeballs everything in hopes it goes well. In this case, it certainly did! I would say use your best judgement. You need a good amount of honey to bind the mixture, plus it adds some sweetness. If you’re not into spicy use just a little yellowbird + dry rub. You can also get creative here! Feel free to swap out the Memphis dry rub for your own spice mix (a coriander, cumin, black pepper, & paprika would be delicious!).

If you make these, tag me on IG so I can see 👀
