Love is Suite with Kimpton Monaco Philly
You already know how I feel about Kimpton. I loooooove the brand. Every single Kimpton hotel I’ve stayed at so far has had its unique charm that keeps me coming back to book. With that being said, you best believe that when the opportunity to work with the Monaco for a Staycation presented itself, in what’s practically my backyard, I jumped!
The Kimpton Stay Human Project is as good as it sounds. We were able to celebrate our love in many ways:
First Off, the ROOM
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the decor, design, and drama the corner one bedroom suite has? So luxe, yet so inviting.
Jewelry Shopping with Bario Neal
Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to meet with him or his team, but his designs are exquisite and if you can make it work, definitely do! Neal hones in on speciality pieces so you can design your dream ring, bracelet, necklace, etc.
Interactive, Aphrodisiac Cocktails
Stratus Lounge is the place to be whether it’s for a chilled glass of white wine at happy hour or quarter of midnight dancing away with a vodka soda in hand. Don’t feel like being among a crowd? Would rather focus on your loved one? Don’t fret! When you stay in the love suite you just call the front desk and room service delivers all the ingredients to make the perfect sweet coffee cocktail in your room! We called down around 10:30pm and had so much fun putting it all together when it arrived shortly after.
Pin the Tail on the… Map?
Yep, that’s right! There’s a huuuuge world map in the love suite where you can make your mark by leaving a little thumbnail on a place you and your loved one traveled together that was extra special. For Daniel and me that was Israel. We’ve both been several times, but this past June was the first time we’ve ever gone together and it was soo magical.

You already know I LOVE a good photo. Let’s be real, who doesn’t? One of my favorite parts about the Stay Human Project was being given a polaroid camera! We were able to walk the city streets, snapping selfies in front of the most beautiful buildings.
Advice Galore
In the room there’s a large “wishing tree” where previous guests wrote down their advice, inspiration, or wish. Seeing this was so darling! Daniel’s advice, “don’t sweat the small stuff.” Mine you ask? “Say goodnight to those you love every single night.”
When I say we had such a beautiful time I realllllly mean it. I wish escaping to that love suite could be my reality every weekend! I’m so happy we were able to experience it together and I sure hope you get to, too!
P.S. If you’re local to Philly and haven’t yet eaten at Red Owl Tavern, do yourself a favor and go!! The Maryland Striped Bass and Spring Vegetable Salad are definitely something to write home about. Oh and if you like gin, order the Sticks And Stones. Just trust us.
